A small moment is enough to begin
Remember a paper bridge falling, the feel of a leaf, or two different ideas during play. There is no need to cover a whole day from morning to night.
Opening prompts can be skipped or replaced. Relevant authorized background can make an invitation more familiar; it does not tell the AI what happened today.
Keep the child's own words
Voice input transcribes speech for the child to check or edit. Children can also type and add photos using the current interface. During focused writing the companion does not interrupt every sentence; help is available when requested.
Saving or editing does not automatically turn the original into a polished essay. A discovery or an unfinished attempt can stand on its own.
Feedback comes after finishing
A companion responds to a connection, discovery or perspective in the entry. When useful, it offers one optional method, such as comparing two attempts or explaining a detail.
The reply is separate from the journal. It does not ask for an immediate rewrite or a test of learning. Writing scores and wallet credit are separate too.
Understanding can carry into later entries
Eligible, authorized journals can contribute with other real records to a child portrait. Current understanding of interests, approaches, contexts and support needs can inform connected guidance and parent understanding.
Families can enable journal points and define gifts they fulfil themselves. Rewards support participation without representing developmental ability.
Know the sharing and usage conditions
Parents see journal content and feedback only within the child's sharing choice. Portraits and chat do not bypass it. Parent records shared with children have their own permissions.
Growly supports iOS and Android. A free download is separate from AI allowances; current in-app voice, media and subscription conditions apply.
